Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) before using calgarytreeworks.ca or engaging Calgary Tree Works for any service. By browsing our website or hiring us for tree care work you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms.
- About Calgary Tree Works
Calgary Tree Works is a locally owned and operated tree care company serving residential and commercial clients throughout Calgary, Alberta. Our services include tree removal, pruning and trimming, stump grinding, emergency tree response, land clearing and professional arborist consultations. Our team carries ISA Certified tree surgeons with over 15 years of hands-on experience.
- Use of This Website
You are welcome to use our website for lawful purposes. By using this site you agree that you will not:
- Copy, distribute or commercially use any content from this site without our written approval
- Deploy bots or scraping tools to extract data from our website
- Attempt to access restricted areas of our site or interfere with its security
- Submit or transmit any content that is false, harmful or misleading
We may suspend or remove website access for any user who breaches these Terms.
- Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates issued by Calgary Tree Works are:
- Provided at no cost and with no obligation to proceed
- Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless a different timeframe is noted in writing
- Conditional on site conditions matching what was described at the time of quoting. If our crew arrives and finds undisclosed hazards, utility conflicts, access problems or significant size differences we reserve the right to adjust the price before starting work.
- Reliant on accurate client information. Quotes based on incomplete or incorrect details may require revision.
A quote does not become a binding agreement until both parties have confirmed the scope and price in writing including confirmation by email or text message.
- Booking and Scheduling
- All services are booked subject to crew availability and suitable weather
- We make every reasonable effort to attend at the agreed time but cannot guarantee precise arrival windows given the nature of outdoor field work
- We reserve the right to postpone any job due to unsafe weather, equipment issues or other safety-related reasons. We will contact you as soon as possible if this occurs.
- If you need to cancel a booked service please give us at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made after that point may incur a cancellation fee.
- Client Responsibilities
By booking a service you agree to the following:
- You will provide our crew with clear and safe access to the work area including unlocked gates, moved vehicles and secured pets
- You will inform us in advance of any underground utilities, irrigation lines, septic systems or other known hazards on the property
- You are responsible for obtaining any permits required by the City of Calgary or under any applicable municipal bylaw before work begins. We are happy to offer guidance but the obligation to secure permits rests with the property owner.
- You will be present at the property or will arrange for a responsible adult to be available throughout the duration of the work unless we have agreed otherwise in advance
Calgary Tree Works accepts no liability for damage that results from a client’s failure to disclose relevant site conditions.
- Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full upon completion of the job unless a different arrangement has been confirmed in writing beforehand
- We accept cash, e-transfer and major credit or debit cards (update this list to match your actual accepted methods)
- Invoices that remain unpaid beyond 30 days may attract a late payment charge of 2% per month equivalent to 24% per year
- Larger or multi-stage projects may require a deposit at the time of booking. This will be clearly stated in your written quote.
- Liability
We maintain comprehensive general liability insurance and full Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) coverage. Our crews follow safe working practices on every job.
Notwithstanding the above, Calgary Tree Works will not be held responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage to structures, underground systems or other property elements that were not disclosed to us before work began
- Damage arising from natural or concealed conditions outside our control such as hidden decay, unstable ground or root systems not visible at surface level
- Secondary effects of tree removal including but not limited to changes in light, drainage or surrounding vegetation on your property
- Consequences arising from a client’s failure to obtain required permits
In all cases our maximum liability to you will not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service from which the claim arises.
- Concerns and Disputes
We stand behind the quality of our work. If something does not meet your expectations:
- Reach out to us within 7 days of the completed service
- We will review the matter promptly and work with you toward a fair outcome which may include a follow-up visit or a fee adjustment
- If a dispute cannot be resolved between us it may be referred to a mediator in Calgary, Alberta in accordance with applicable provincial law
- Intellectual Property
All content published on calgarytreeworks.ca including written articles, photographs, logos and graphics belongs to Calgary Tree Works and is protected under Canadian copyright law. No content from this site may be reproduced or republished without our prior written consent.
